Biography
Born in Camden, New Jersey, Jon was active in the creative arts throughout his youth, refining his craft early on in church singing gospel. Jon performed lead roles in musicals and concerts year after year, as well as playing with and leading many local bands.
In college at The Mason Gross School of Performing Arts, while studying operatic voice he began playing in local show bands in and around the New York/New Jersey area. In Boston, at The Berklee College of Music he took part in countless studio sessions and live gigs around town
The next move was to Los Angeles, California where, upon joining The X-Change Band for a six month gig as lead vocal and resident rapper in Tokyo, Japan, the world opened up to him. X-Change turned out the house night after night with the explosive showmanship of "Dynamite! (a stage name adopted in Japan) as its mainstay.
Later, Japan beckoned once again for Dynamite! to return with a new band by the name of Mystique, to entertain the international clientele of Tokyo's nightlife. Mystique made each show a good time for one and all, with Dynamites energetic performance to guide the way. Visiting Japan allowed Jonny to work with Nippon International Television, Konami, as well as many Japanese and International artists.
Currently Jon is working on his own CD, a blending of R&B, Pop, and Funk that he refers to as
"Blu-Funk". Jon delivers a sonic feast for your body, your heart, your mind, and your feet.
Always concentrating on perfecting his performance as well as his own material, he is well aware that music is more than just his passion but it is also a career that requires 110%. Jon will never give you less. He touches your heart with every note, spreading love and happiness with his infectious jubilant spirit.
